Commemorating Battle of Britain...

During last couple of days, polish president Andrzej Duda came to UK in order to celebrate and commemorate Polish accents of Battle of Britain, Polish fighter pilots to be exact. During this occasion, I happen to spot famous Churchill's saying: "Never was so much owed by so many to so few". But what it really means ? We do not know whether it was because/for Polish or other countries, so to speak. What we know for sure, on the other hand is, that British should be thankful for ever, that Poles wanted to fight with Germans on Allied side. Confusion appears though, because we [as a nation], know our history, and yet Polish military succeses during Warld War II are not apprecciated or disregard, and lately, they are pointed and derited*. Point of this text is not presenting Poles as walking glorious heroes, but we have to accept the facts, at least as much as we can. Be objective as much as we can. Things we know about Polish fighter pilots: [propably] the biggest accuracy during Battle of Britain of squadron 303 [not to mention about others squadron, which were flown by Polish pilots]. Even if someone would question biggest accuracy, it makes one of the best squadron of all, during Battle of Britain [first 3 places]. Another thing is obsolete fighters which were used by Polish fighter pilots; this was Hawker Hurricane, instead of Supermarine Spitfire, which on the other hand were used by British squadrons. Question remains: should we not celebrate ending Battle of Britain with more pride than British themselves ? Some readers might ask now: why exactly shoule we be proud and proud of what ? Well, answer is simple – definitely yes. Reason of that is very simple – our countryman fought for others, I mean independence of others, even if they left us during Nazi attack. Fighting not for our own cuase, despite the odds, still right cause is the reason to be proud of. Why, some people might ask ? Because it requires attributes like heorism and your own pride, which itself is the reason [or are the reasons] to follow and be proud of.
