Carpatia Divide - Day 7
Day 7
Tylawa → Cisna - ~80km
We start from Tylawa, we pass Barwinek and right before the border we cross to the track. We are surprisingly in good mood, so we bravely continue. As it happens, our good mood didn't last very long – difficult terrain started, so it has to be crossed up until Komańcza. Track is not very high, but crossing through rough terrain, mud and other obstacles is tiring twice as much. We pas signs “Attention – Bears”, but we continue. Only forward left. Weather at the same time decreases and it starting to be chill. After long pass through difficult terrain we finally get to Wisłok Górny, then we went on to Komańcza. We eat and gather supplies in local store, where we meet our fellow competitors and we find out that their aim for this day is Cisna as well as ours. So we go. At first, we got to Duszatyń, and after that we have to deal with “neverending” uphill to Żebrak pass. At every kilometer we feel decrease of temperature. We finally get to the pass and we cross up on track which leads to Wołosań. Track is hard, so we push/ride as fast as we can. Temperature gets below 15 degress, it starting to get really cold and windy. We fight for every minute of daylight, so we can get to Cisna as fast as we can. We finally get to Wołosań, but its almost completely dark, so we must face another night downhill. Unfortunately, it's not so nice as before, so we have to push at some points our bikes down. We are getting very cold, but we continue. At last, we get to the hut, we find free sleeping places and friends from the way there. We eat our dinner and we go to sleep.
